The Pomerol appellation is located on a small, Southern plateau which slopes towards the valley of the Isle. It is a small terroir made up of 800 hectares. The soil comprises of silica and gravel on blue clay and has large quantities of iron oxide present which gives the wines great aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes

Aeration reveals red and black fruit, with notes of cocoa and liquorice. A dense wine with aromas of cherries, strawberries and blackberries on the palate with notes of cloves, cedar and cocoa bean. A long finish carried by silky tannins.

Paring Notes

Pairs well with rib steak, duck breast and strong mature cheeses.
